Fits the Fastway FLASH™ SECURE ball mount’s integrated locks

The FLASH™ SECURE Re-Key Kit lets you change the keying on the ball mount’s built-in locks without replacing the mount. Lost your only key, bought a used mount, or want both locks and your other Fastway locks to open with a single key? The kit swaps the lock cylinders so the mount works with a fresh set of keys you control.

The kit includes replacement lock cylinders and a matched set of keys for the FLASH™ SECURE’s dual-lock system. The cylinders are the same drill-resistant barrel-key design used throughout the Fastway lock line, so re-keying does not trade away any security. The change is made with basic hand tools at the tailgate and takes a few minutes.

It is also a smart way to keep a spare key set in the truck and another at home. Note the key number stamped on the new keys and keep it somewhere safe; it is what you will need to order additional keys later.

Specifications

  • Fits: Fastway® FLASH™ SECURE adjustable aluminum ball mounts (4″, 6″ and 10″ drop) with the integrated dual-lock system
  • Contents: replacement lock cylinders for both integrated locks and a matched set of keys, keyed alike
  • Lock type: drill-resistant barrel (tube) lock, the same style used across the Fastway® lock line; cannot be false-locked; quarter-turn lock and unlock
  • Use cases: lost or stolen keys, a used mount purchased without keys, or keying the mount to match a new key set
  • Install: tailgate job with basic hand tools, a few minutes per lock
  • Key code: stamped on each key; record it. Fastway® sells replacement keys by code (e.g., FA-KEY-320, FA-KEY-337), so spares can be ordered later without re-keying again
  • Maintenance: keep the molded lock covers in place and lubricate the cylinders seasonally with a dry PTFE or graphite lubricant, not oil, which attracts grit
  • Replacement: cylinders are not a scheduled-wear item; replace only if the lock is damaged, seized beyond cleaning, or the keys are lost
